Wine Chit Oo

Hello, my name is Wine Chit Oo. I’m 29 years old and the proud mother of two lovely daughters. I was born in Myanmar and came to Thailand in 2013, hoping to build a better life.

A year after I arrived, I got married—but sadly, my husband became abusive. Home was no longer a safe place for me or my children. That’s when we came to the FRP shelter, where we finally found peace and safety. At the shelter, I’ve been learning to sew—something I never had the chance to do before. I really enjoy practicing this new skill. In my free time, I also love reading any kind of book. Reading helps me relax, grow, and imagine a brighter future.

My biggest dream is for my daughters to grow up to be strong, educated, and independent. I want them to have the opportunities I never had. One day, I hope to have a small house of my own—with a sewing shop inside—so I can work from home and stay close to my children. For now, one of the happiest parts of my day is getting my girls ready for school. Watching them learn and grow fills me with pride.
