Become a
FRP Ambassador
Ambassadors will
Attend a one-time ambassador orientation
We keep these virtual meet-and-greets under an hour, with the goal of sharing what we do and how you can help!
Be a spokesperson for FRP
Promote our work when talking to friends, share on social media, and help grow our network.
Fundraise
Encourage friends and family to financially support FRP. Donations go to shelter, food, and essentials for our women.
Join our community of advocates
Our Ambassadors are passionate about helping those in need, and you’ll be a part of a community that’s dedicated to ending violence against women.
take initiative:
- Host an event: Set-up a mini presentation (we can do the talking virtually or give you a “cheat sheet” of info) with your school group, church group, book club, etc. to spread awareness on the issues of Gender-Based Violence and/or the Burmese migrant community in Thailand.
- Create a conversation piece: For example, make t-shirts and sell them within your community to promote FRP.
- Write a short article: We can assist by providing details about our work or global data that you could share with your local newspaper, school, church, or other publications.
- Get Creative: We love new ideas and are all ears if you want to share one!
Ambassadors participate in
Collaboration Sessions
We host virtual “FRP Huddles” to share updates about our work and how you can help!
Social Media Kit
We’ll provide a social media kit with graphics and data for sharing.
Annual Fundraising Event
Our annual fundraiser will culminate in MONTH, and we count on our Ambassadors to help spread the word!
Brainstorm Opportunities
Our Ambassadors are essential in helping us identify funding opportunities. We are always open to hearing about grant programs or other ideas to help build awareness around our cause.
What do Ambassadors gain?
- Ambassadors will learn about the challenges of migrant women living on the Thailand-Myanmar border and become advocates for change. We hope you’ll get some new insights into what is happening in these two countries as well as activism for gender-based violence and marginalized ethnic groups.
- If you’re completing this service work for a class or graduation requirement, we’ll provide needed documentation. Also, you can list your Ambassador work on your resume or use us for a reference, if needed in the future.
- More than anything else, we care deeply about human rights and hope our Ambassadors can gain a glimpse of the struggles that women face, which could ultimately guide your future career paths and life choices. As an Ambassador, we are happy to make time to chat with you and answer questions about our work and the larger context of how these issues are impacting areas of the world.
